L-A-C Utilities offers a wide variety of convenient payment options for our customers. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.
Credit Card Payments
The Valparaiso Lakes Area Conservancy District offers the option of paying your utility bill by credit card through Invoice Cloud. You may select the "Pay Your Bill Now" option located in the top right-hand corner & at the bottom of this page, which will take you to the Invoice Cloud website. You may also follow the link provided: https://www.invoicecloud.com/valparaisoin. When entering your account number do not use any dashes or spaces. After authorization of your payment, you will be given a confirmation number that you should keep for your records.
We will accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express for a processing fee. This fee is paid directly to Invoice Cloud. The Valparaiso Lakes Area Conservancy District does not receive any portion of the service fee.
*Note: you will need your account number to process a payment; this can be found on your VLACD invoice. If you are making a payment the day of a “Shut-Off”, please call our office and let us know the confirmation number of your payment as well as the payment amount. We do not receive notification of a payment made until the next business day, therefore, you may be shut-off if we are not notified from the customer that morning (shut-off fee may apply).
Payment By Mail
If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.
Night Deposit Box
Customers who cannot make it into our office during regular business hours may drop their payment off into our night deposit box located up the ramp just east of our office door.
Automatic Bank Draft
The worry-free way to pay your water bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, simply come into the office and fill out the ACH Recurring Debit Form or download the form, located in the Forms & Reports Section, and drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.
Payment Drop-off Location
You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, or money orders. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.
Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay
Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.
