A Note from Your Elected LAC Board Members

Recently, a flyer has been circulating claiming that LAC residents are being “underserved” and are “paying twice as much as Valparaiso” for water and sewer. As elected officials, we feel it’s important to set the record straight and ask some fair questions:

❓ In what specific ways do you feel underserved?

❓ Are your rate comparisons based on in-city or out-of-city Valparaiso rates?

❓ Have you reviewed our publicly available rate schedules?

❓ Does this newly formed PAC include any current LAC board members?

The LAC Board of Directors is made up of individuals elected by each district. We are committed to serving our residents, maintaining transparency, and making decisions in the best long-term interest of the watershed and community.

We welcome fact-based dialogue, but misleading or exaggerated claims don’t serve anyone. If you have concerns, bring them to a board meeting — or better yet, ask the hard questions directly. We’re here for it.
